When do registration and writing happen?
Registration is open from 5 September to 25 September. Everyone writes during the same window — from 26 September to 2 October — so there is no moving deadline. The winner is announced on 14 November.
Do I need to be verified before I can register?
Teaching status is confirmed by a self-declaration during registration, and you upload a photo of your staff ID or teaching proof. There is no separate approval delay before you can pay. Shortlisted entries go through a stronger role and authorship re-check later.
Who can enter?
School teachers, coaching or tuition-centre faculty and independent tutors aged 18 or older can enter if they currently teach in the approved Bhopal geography. They must be employed or contracted to teach, or have taught at least one learner or group during the preceding 90 days and intend to continue.
How is teaching status verified?
Verification happens before payment. School and coaching faculty can use institution email, staff ID, an institution letter or administrator confirmation. Independent tutors use two corroborating signals, such as a tutor profile, redacted recent teaching record, adult learner or parent confirmation, or assisted manual review. Aadhaar and PAN are not required.
Can I write in Hindi or Hinglish?
Yes. Entries may be written in Hindi, English or natural Hinglish. Language is judged for clarity and voice, not for sounding overly formal.
Does a story I have already told my class count as published?
No. Privately narrating your own story in a classroom does not by itself make it published. A story already made public in print, online, on social media or through a public performance would not qualify as unpublished.
What writing support is allowed?
Typing, formatting, spellcheck, dictionaries and transcription of your own spoken words are allowed. Generative drafting, rewriting, paraphrasing, plot or character development and AI translation are not allowed.
How is originality reviewed?
Eligibility and duplication checks, private risk signals and human review are used together. No entry is rejected solely from an automated detector score. Shortlisted teachers may be asked to discuss their process or narrate an extract.
Why is there a ₹99 registration fee?
The ₹99 is a one-time registration charge for one preliminarily verified teacher and one submission opportunity. It does not guarantee technical acceptance, originality clearance, shortlisting or an award. The final CA/legal-approved fee and refund policy will appear before payment.
What if my payment fails or remains pending?
A failed payment should not erase the prepared entry. If money is debited but no entry ID appears, the payment must be checked and reconciled before another payment is requested. Exact support timelines will appear in the final policy.
Who owns my story?
You do. Registration grants only the limited permission needed to receive, store, screen and judge the entry. Any public showcase, publication or adaptation needs separate written permission.
What happens if I am shortlisted?
Shortlisted teachers may be asked to verify their role, speak about how the story was created, narrate an extract or answer story-specific questions before the final result.
