Internal review draft
Accessibility & Support
The competition should welcome a teacher's story without making the submission method itself the obstacle.
The accessible alternative submission route, accommodation owner, contact channel and response times still need approval and testing.
01 · Page experience
Readable, navigable and understandable.
The launch candidate should support keyboard navigation, visible focus states, semantic headings, clear labels and errors, adequate contrast, zoom and reflow, reduced motion preferences, descriptive alternatives for meaningful images, and captions/transcripts for campaign video.
Test the complete form and payment flow with keyboard-only use, screen-reader checks, 200% zoom, mobile reflow, validation errors, timeout/recovery states and reduced motion—not only these information pages.
02 · Entry formats
Offer more than one workable route.
The working rules prefer pasted text and may allow DOCX or PDF up to 10 MB. Speech-to-text that only transcribes the entrant's own words is allowed. An accessibility tool or unclear tool use should be disclosed and assessed fairly in context.
Confirm accepted file formats, size limit and an accessible alternative when the standard form or file upload cannot be used. The alternative must preserve the same deadline, declarations, payment check and judging treatment.
03 · Language and communication
Support the languages the competition invites.
Entries may be in Hindi, English or natural Hinglish. Instructions, payment status, verification requests and review notices should use plain language and should not rely on color alone to communicate meaning.
Confirm which support languages are available, who responds in each language, and whether critical policies will be published bilingually.
04 · Shortlist accommodation
Verification should test authorship—not convenience.
A shortlisted teacher may discuss the story, narrate an extract or share process evidence. Reasonable alternatives should be available for communication, scheduling and accessibility needs. A lack of handwritten drafts should not by itself count against an entrant.
Approve the accommodation process, evidence alternatives, proposed five-business-day response period and the person authorized to decide requests.
05 · Ask for help
Support must exist before the form opens.
The final page should provide a campaign contact, allow an entrant to describe the barrier or accommodation needed without disclosing unnecessary medical information, and explain when a response can be expected.
The campaign email, accessibility owner, support number if any, hours and response target have not been approved. No details are being invented for this draft.
